What to look for in a sunscreen

Apply sunscreen every day regardless of the weather.

Sun Protection is essential to prevent skin cancer. Hence, it is imperative to use sunscreen and proper clothing when exposed to the sun. The sun emits two different rays, UVA and UVB, and it is the highest from 10 am to 4 pm. Children with low Vitamin deficiency should be exposed to the sun for at least 20 minutes. UVA plays a key role in skin tanning, while UVB is critical for skin cancer. Reapply sunscreen after every 2 hours of sun exposure. Find a sunscreen that protects your child from both ultraviolet rays!
